Petites peces protagonitzades per ve\u00efns i ve\u00efnes del districte que ens mostren la diversitat, els car\u00e0cter reivindicatiu, la festa i tants altres aspectes que formen part de la vida social dels barris.<\/p>\n<p>La comunitat de la parr\u00f2quia de Sant Esteve va celebrar els 50 anys d\u00b4hist\u00f2ria. Coincidint amb aquesta data, Roberto Lahuerta va presentar el llibre \u00b4Barrio de Porta y la Parroquia de Sant Esteve. 50 a\u00f1os creciendo juntos\u00b4. \u00c9s un document que recupera records, testimonis i fotografies de les dues etapes de la parr\u00f2quia.<\/p>\n<p>La hist\u00f2ria de la parr\u00f2quia de Sant Esteve est\u00e0 estretament lligada a la del barri de Porta, ja que la parr\u00f2quia es va constituir en un temps, l\u2019any 1964, en qu\u00e8 es comen\u00e7aven a construir els carrers i edificis de la zona. La comunitat va n\u00e9ixer en un local al carrer de Palma de Mallorca. Hi van ser durant m\u00e9s de 30 anys. Despr\u00e9s de molts anys de negociacions i a la recerca d\u2019un solar, als anys 90 es va edificar la nova esgl\u00e9sia en un terreny prop de la seu original. Es va construir un temple d\u2019imatge moderna, en el qual destaca una c\u00fapula piramidal que, segons el rector, sovint despista els vianants que cerquen la parr\u00f2quia.<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019equipament nou es divideix en dues plantes. La inferior per a les activitats parroquials, com ara la catequesi o, fins fa poc, el repartiment d\u2019aliments de C\u00e0ritas i la superior dedicada en bona part a una capella de 800 metres quadrats decorada amb els vitralls del mestre Pere C\u00e1novas, ve\u00ed del districte.
