La majoria s\u00f3n fotografies d\u2019indrets, esdeveniments i ve\u00efns que han recopil\u00b7lat, conservat des de l&#8217;Arxiu Hist\u00f2ric Roquetes-Nou Barris i que han explicat i dif\u00f3s a partir <a href=\"http:\/\/arxiuhistoric.blogspot.com\/\">del seu bloc<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>La vaga dels treballadors de la f\u00e0brica Harry Walker va durar 62 dies, entre desembre de 1970 i febrer de 1971. Els treballadors van decidir revelar-se contra les dures condicions laborals que els imposava l\u2019empresa.\u00a0\u00a0 Els treballadors treballaven alguns en soterranis saense ventilaci\u00f3, amb tan sols 20 minuts per dinar i una gran pressi\u00f3 per produir m\u00e9s i cobrar d\u2019aquesta manera les primes que dignificaven el sou. Finalment els treballadors es van unir per mobilitzar-se. Primer van ser petites aturades, que finalment van culminar en una vaga que va durar 62 dies, des del 16 de desembre de 1970 fins al 15 de febrer de 1971. Aquesta va ser una de les vagues m\u00e9s importants dels darrers anys del franquisme. Per la seva durada, per les repressions que hi van haver i pel suport que va rebre per part d\u2019empreses tant nacionals com internacionals, com ara La Maquinista Terrestre i Mar\u00edtima i la Solex de Fran\u00e7a i Tor\u00ed (It\u00e0lia). Al febrer, els treballadors van entrar de nou a la f\u00e0brica. Finalment, la Harry Walker va tancar. A banda de la vaga se li va sumar, amb el temps, les constants queixes ve\u00efnals per l\u2019elevada contaminaci\u00f3 que generava. En una part dels terrenys que ocupava la f\u00e0brica es va construir una pla\u00e7a, que es va batejar amb el nom de l\u2019empresa. Amb els anys, el ve\u00efnat va aconseguir rebatejar l&#8217;indret com a pla\u00e7a de les Treballadores i Treballadors de la Harry Walker, per retre homenatge als protagonistes de la vaga.<\/p>\n<p>La Harry Walker, empresa associada amb la Hispano-Villiers, era responsable dels motors de petita cilindrada com el del fam\u00f3s Bisc\u00fater. La Harry Walker fabricava, a m\u00e9s, tota mena d\u2019accessoris per a l\u2019automoci\u00f3. Donava feina a prop de 500 treballadors als tallers i oficines del passeig de Valldaura.
