Tots dos van morir fa mig any, i ja aleshores l&#8217;alcaldessa de Barcelona, Ada Colau, va anunciar que s&#8217;engegaria el proc\u00e9s per\u00a0 recon\u00e8ixer la seva tasca, per \u201chaver entregat la seva vida al servei dels altres\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>La Medalla d&#8217;Or al M\u00e8rit C\u00edvic a Manel Pousa, m\u00e9s conegut com a Pare Manel, recorda la seva dedicaci\u00f3 solid\u00e0ria a favor de les persones en situaci\u00f3 de vulnerabilitat, \u201cen especial la inf\u00e0ncia en risc i les persones privades de llibertat\u201c. La seva fundaci\u00f3 desenvolupa projectes enfocats sobretot a la inf\u00e0ncia i els adolescents en els barris de Verdum, les Roquetes i la Trinitat Vella. Tamb\u00e9 gestiona projectes d&#8217;inserci\u00f3 sociolaboral. Aquesta traject\u00f2ria ja l&#8217;havia fet mereixedor de la Medalla d\u2019Honor de l\u2019Ajuntament, aix\u00ed com la Creu de Sant Jordi de la Generalitat.<\/p>\n<p>El Pare Manel ens va deixar el 9 de setembre, per\u00f2 la seva fundaci\u00f3 i el seu llegat continua, ara presidida per Sandra Pardo. Poc despr\u00e9s de la seva mort, es va iniciar una campanya popular per reclamar que es bateg\u00e9s un carrer o pla\u00e7a amb el nom de Pare Manel.<\/p>\n<p>L&#8217;altra guardonat, Pere Casald\u00e0liga, va morir dies abans, el 18 d\u2019agost del 2020 als 92 anys. La llista dels seus actes solidaris tamb\u00e9 \u00e9s ben llarga.
